About

Meghan Laurel Sevedge

Hi! I’m Meg, co-founder and Interior Designer of IVY + Laurel. We are a design studio focused on helping you curate your home through Interior Design and Renovation services. IVY + Laurel is a name that carries pieces of both me and my husband Will. Laurel is my middle name and Will is William Sevedge IV, hence the IVY. This design studio was born from a love of home and what home means.

Who am I? I love coffee, sunflowers, and Jesus. I got my degree in Screen Acting with a minor in Advertising from Chapman University in sunny southern California. I have always been a creator, whether that be in film, photography, or design. I originally started with designing my own apartment and experimenting with color and styles to find what I liked and what worked. Then when I was working as a digital media designer for a startup my boss asked if I could design their office space and that’s what lit the spark in me. It took another two full years before I would really follow that design spark. I worked as a designer for a high-end furniture company for a short while before taking the leap to start this studio with my husband.

My mind is always looking at spaces and thinking about all the ways it can tell a story. I believe home is an extension of you and your life experiences. As a designer I’m always looking for ways to weave your story into your home and curate a space that will create more memories with your loved ones.

I’m so excited to finally take this step to launch this studio and I couldn’t ask for a better partner by my side to help welcome you home. We look forward to weaving and intertwining your story into the spaces you live in and thank you for following along!

William K Sevedge IV

I’m Will Sevedge, Co-Founder, and Designer at IVY + Laurel. I’ll be the one drafting floorplans and elevations for your renovation or custom home.

I’ve always been fascinated with how structures and mechanical things are designed and built. Ever since I was a little tot I would tinker with anything I got my hands on and if the opportunity arose, I would disassemble it to see how it was built. If you asked my dad, he would say that I wouldn’t always put them back together. Fast forward to when I got out of the Army and was deciding what to do with my life, I thought I’d take some drafting courses at my local community college and the rest, as they say, is history. I have two AA’s: Architectural Design and Architectural Engineering. I’ve been studying and working in this amazing industry for over 5 years now, started as a low-level draftsman and worked my way up to a BIM Manager. I’m currently receiving my certification in Welding because we have big plans for IVY + Laurel in the future! (Hint: custom furniture and décor lines!)

I’ve worked on many fascinating projects from commercial buildings to custom estates and everything in between.  Whichever route you choose to go, such as knocking down a wall(s) or putting up new ones, you’ll definitely be in good hands. We treat all of our prospective clients like family.

Architecture and Design are my passions. When I sit down with a client to design their custom home, I want to create a space that is designed around their lifestyle and family. I am inspired by function and efficiency. That married with my wife’s design style allows us to create spaces that are not only functional for your family and lifestyle but also weave your story into the spaces you live in.
